DHAKA: Afghanistan beat Hong Kong by six wickets by chasing down their target of 117 on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Hong Kong won the toss and chose to bat first. They lost six wickets to score 116. Of total, 27 runs came from RJ Campbell’s bat while 28 from Anshuman Rath.
Mohammad Nabi bagged the highest 4 wickets and was later adjudged the player of the match.
Afghanistan easily reached the target with 12 balls remaining. Mohammad Shahzad and Noor Ali Zadran scored 41 and 35 respectively.
RJ Campbell took two wickets.
This is the second win of Afghanistan in the group and they now have to win against Zimbabwe on Saturday to secure a berth in the Super 10 of the tournament.
