DHAKA: The three-day long Sikder Group Independence Day Cup Golf Tournament 2016 kicked off at Kurmitola Golf Club in city on Friday morning (March 25).

Chief of General Staff (CGS) of Bangladesh Army Lieutenant General Sabbir Ahmed inaugurated the tournament here, says a press release, signed by Syed Qamrul Islam Mohon, Director and COO of R & R Aviation Ltd & R & R Holdings Ltd (Sikder Group), in the afternoon.

R & R Aviation Ltd & R & R Holdings Ltd (Sikder Group) Chairman Rick Haque Sikder and Director & COO (Sikder Group) Syed Qamrul Islam Mohon were present in the tee-off here.

Besides, Area Commander, Logistics Area Dhaka & Vice President of Kurmitola Golf Club Major General Mizanur Rahman Khan, Club Captain of Kurmitola Golf Club Brigadier General Sayeed Siddiki, tournament committee chairman Brigadier General Abidur Reza Khan (Retd.), chief executive officer of Kurmitola Golf Club Brigadier General (retd.) M Oabidul Haque and general manager (Golf Operation) of Kurmitola Golf Club Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Md Abdul Bari were also attended the ceremony.

R & R Aviation Ltd.  and Kurmitola Golf Club high-ups also were present in the inaugural Ceremony.
