Chasing 156-run target, West Indies batsmen scored 161 runs as Samuels hit unbeaten 85 and Brathwaite played an excelling match winning score of 34.
Earlier winning the toss, Caribbean skipper Sammy decided to bowl first with a hope to clinch the trophy of the tournament.
England lose nine wickets to score 155 runs in stipulated over as Root hit 54 and Butler 36 while WI bowlers Bravo and Brathwaite bagged 3-wkt each.
Earlier in the day, West Indies Women team secured maiden ICC World T20 title beating Australia at the same stadium.
