DHAKA: Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin has been elected as the president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) for the third time at a stretch on Saturday (April 30).
The two-time president bagged 83 votes while his nearest candidate Quamrul Ashraf Khan Poton, lawmaker from Palash of Narsingdi, got 54 votes.
Earlier in the day, voting of BFF Election-2016 began at Hotel Radisson in city at 2:00pm and continued till 5:00pm peacefully.
Two candidates vied for the position of president while 10 for vice-president and 29 for members’ positions.
Meanwhile, Abdus Salam Murshedi has already been elected unopposed as senior vice-chairman.
