Mustafiz flies for England finally

DHAKA: Bangladeshi bowling sensation pacer Mustafizur Rahman has flew for England finally on Wednesday (July 20, 2016) to play in County Cricket there.

He started journey on a flight of Bangladesh Biman at 10:30am.

He is likely to make his county debut against Essex at County Ground, Chelmsford on Thursday (July 21).

Mustafiz, popularly dubbed as Fizz, will get chance to play two more group matches for Sussex on July 22 and 28 against Kent and Glamorgan respectively.

Both matches will be held under floodlight at Kennington Oval, London and Sophia Gardens in Cardiff correspondingly.

In the South Group, Sussex are now in seventh place, out of nine, with 10 off 11-match road strings. It is learnt from the insiders of the BCB that Mustafiz got the visa after the interference of the Sussex from London.

Satkhira-born lad was scheduled to fly for England just after the end of his Indian Premier League (IPL) stint.

But he returned home from IPL with hamstring injury. Considering Mustafiz’s injury, the board thereafter set a two-week rehab programme for his recovery.
