DHAKA: Bangladesh’s fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman will undergo shoulder surgery on August 11 in London.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) media committee director Jalal Yunus said Andrew Wallace of London’s Fortius Clinic will conduct the surgery.
He further said BCB is confident that Mustafizur is in good hands.
The recovery time, however, could keep Mustafizur out for at least six months, which means he could miss the matches against England.
Earlier, the pacer had complained of pain after his second match for Sussex on July 22.
Later, he was ruled out of the rest of their one-day and T20 campaign due to the injury.
