LONDON: Bangladesh’s fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman on Thursday underwent a successful shoulder surgery at BUPA Cromwell Hospital in South Kensington of London.

The one-hour surgery began at 8:50 pm (Bangladesh Time).

Earlier, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina talked to Mustafizur Rahman and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon over phone and inquired about the surgery.

For encouraging the first bowler, PM Hasina said, “Don’t be afraid, you will be back in the playground soon after recovery”.

She also advised the BCB president to take special care of Mustafiz.
