DHAKA: Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman returned home on Monday morning (August 22) after a successful surgery in London.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) media committee chairman Jalal Yunus earlier confirmed the date of Mustafiz’s arrival though he was scheduled to return on Friday (August 19).
Before returning home, Mustafiz met Cromwell Hospital’s orthopedic surgeon Andrew Wallace who conducted the surgery on his left shoulder on August 17.
He assured of no after-surgery casualties.
BCB physician Dr. Debashis Chowdhury, who accompanied the cricketer throughout the medical process, told reporters that Mustafiz will follow a recovery routine to return in the field soon.
Another BCB source told banglanews that physiologist Bayezedul Islam will take care of the recovery session.
If the session goes perfectly, the cricketer is expected to be able to practice with tennis ball within a month and return in field after six months.
