DHAKA: Bangladesh and Egypt signed a deal on bilateral cooperation and exchange in the field of technology at Secretariat in the city on Tuesday morning.
This five-year long deal includes exchanges of experts, scientists and researchers in technology sector. It also includes joint seminars.
Science and technology acting secretary AKM Amir Hossain and Egypt ambassador to Bangladesh Mahmoud Ezzat signed the dead on behalf of their respective sides.
Among others, state minister for science and technology Architect Yeafesh Osman was present at the signing ceremony.
The minister said that Bangladesh and Egypt are two brotherly nations. Their bilateral relations are long and tested. This new deal will strengthen the existing relations and two nations will be benefited from this deal.
On the other side, the Egyptian envoy expressing his happiness said that this deal signing is a memorable event. It will expand the opportunity of exchanges in technology sector.
