DHAKA: Microsoft has introduced the Surface Pro 3, its most powerful, thinnest and lightest Surface Pro to date.
The Surface Pro 3 features a 12-inch ClearType full HD screen with 2160 x 1440 resolution and comes equipped with a fourth generation Intel Core Processor (with Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 options), storage capacity ranging from 64 to 512 GB or 4 or 8 GB of RAM, a full-size USB 3.0 port for peripherals, a Mini DisplayPort for projecting to an external display and a microSD card reader for expandable storage.
Additionally, the Surface Pro 3 comes with a new multi-position kickstand with a friction-hinge, and new click-in keyboards offered in five colors with 63 percent larger track-pads.
In the coming months, Microsoft plans to add a new Surface Docking Station for the device, reports telecompaper.com.
The Surface Pro 3 will be available for pre-order on 20 May at 12:01am (Eastern Time) at Microsoftstore.com in most launch markets and at Microsoft retail stores and Best Buy in the US on 21 May.
It will be available for purchase in stores and through authorized resellers beginning 20 June in the US and Canada and, by the end of August, in 26 additional markets, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Kingdom.
