DHAKA: Japan's leading IT companies are showing interest to recruit the Bangladeshi Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) graduates.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam Khan on Thursday said that chief executive officers of two leading IT companies -- Island Thrust and Pretty Edge of Japan -- met him at his office on the day same.
He told the journalists that those IT officials expressed their interest to recruit Bangladeshi certified ITEE graduates.
"This is just the beginning. I had a talk to Japanese government high officials and dozens of companies during my visit to Japan last month and they have shown interest to recruit certified ITEE graduates from Bangladesh," said Khan.
CEO of Island Thrust Ryo Teruya and Managing Director of Pretty Edge Koichi Tani were present at the meeting.
The ICT Secretary said Japan is very keen to recruit ITEE level 3 and level 4 certified people from Bangladesh and the government is going to organize the ITEE for level 3 and level 4 after getting the IT Professionals Examination Council (ITPEC).
