DHAKA: GITEX Technology Week 2014, the biggest information technology exposition of Middle East & Africa will be started from Sunday. 

Dubai World Trade Center organized this five days event at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center. 

Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) in collaboration with Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) is taking part in this event like previous years. Five BASIS member companies: aamra networks, Dipon Consultancy Services Ltd., Infinity Technology International Ltd, LeadSoft Bangladesh Limited & REVE SYSTEMS are taking part as exhibitors. Another two BASIS member companies are also participating in GITEX 2014 by their own arrangement, which are: Mir Technologies Limited & Synchronous ICT.

Ms. Farhana A Rahman, Chairman, BASIS standing committee on International Market Development will visit this expo as BASIS representative. Besides, she will attend the `Women in IT’ forum to be held during the GITEX 2014 under NTF-III project of ITC.  

It is expected that, through participation in GITEX 2014, the export market for Bangladesh ICT sector will surely enhanced. GITEX 2014 will be ended on 16th October 2014.
