DHAKA: Some 450 local IT professionals and students will sit Sunday for International Standardized Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) in Dhaka to get a global recognition of their IT skills.
The examination will be held at Dhaka University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Science and Technology (BUET), Chittagong University of Engineering and Science and Technology (CUET), Khulna University of Engineering and Science and Technology (KUET) and Rajshahi University of Engineering and Science and Technology (RUET) simultaneously with 12 Asian other countries.
Bangladesh IT-engineers Examination Center (BD-ITEC) under Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministry introduced the examination in the country under a project titled Capacity Building on ITEE Management with the help of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Bangladesh got the ITPEC membership on September this year after the country had shown outstanding success in last two tests, fulfilling ITPCE requirements.
The ITEE, presently mutually recognized by 12 Asian countries, is basically a national standardized examination of Japan for IT professionals where five to six lakh IT students and professionals appeared every year.
