DHAKA: The three-day exposition of smartphones and tablet computers, which is being held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in city’s Agargaon area, has drawn the attention of a good number of visitors on the second day.
The ‘Grameenphone Smartphone and Tab Expo’, kicked off on Friday, will remain open from 10:00am to 8:00pm till Sunday.
The fair organizer Expo Maker’s operations head Nahid Hasnain Siddique told banglanews that the event has been arranged aiming to let smartphones and tabs enthusiasts to purchase the devices and accessories at special price with the opportunity of winning a lot of gifts and prizes.
However, this is the third initiative of Expo Maker after getting success in two previous events, he added.
Renowned local and international companies are participating in this fair, according to him.
With Grameenphone as the title sponsor, the fair has featured stalls of Okapia, Maximus, Lenovo, Samsung, Symphony, Acer, Mycell, Xiaomi, Adata, RNTech, HTS, DX Generation, Prestigio and Gadget Gang 7.
Moreover, Expo Maker and Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum will jointly hold a dialogue on internet service at 11:00am on December 14.
The expo is free to the school students over showing their identity cards or in uniforms. For the rest, the entry free is Tk 20.
On the other hand, the expo is hosting an Android online gaming contest there.
There is also a separate zone giving app developers a chance to exhibit their applications to smartphone and tab enthusiasts.
Meanwhile, the organizers have already started a Facebook contest called ‘Guess the Smartphone Contest’.
Winners of this contest will receive attractive prizes including smartphone and tablet computer.
Not only that, other contests will be arranged with lucrative gifts and prizes for the attendees at the fairground.
