DHAKA: Facebook is no more a way of ‘passing time’ for the teenagers or just a website to visit once in a month. Now-a-days people are gathering there to find old or new friends or to be connected with soul mates in home and abroad.
As you can ‘share’ anything with your nearest and dearest one or the entire world through the most popular social connecting website, there is also a great risk of being disowned your Facebook account at anytime.
But, just because your friend's ID may have gotten hacked, does not mean you should too start crying like a baby despite of appointing a ‘watchdog’.
And, the fact is that in this regard, you do not have to do ‘a lot of things’ but just register you personal cell phone number as the guard!
Many users do not know that there is an option of approving ‘login’ in Facebook through the user’s personal mobile phone. This means the ultimate security of your ID.
No one, except you, will be able to ‘hack’ your Facebook account after activating the measure, unless griping your cell phone.
Activating the feature
Follow these easy steps to activate the mobile watchdog on Facebook:
Go to ‘Settings’ option from your Facebook ID
Click the ‘Security’ button from the list
Press ‘Edit’ at ‘Login Alerts’
Check the ‘Get notifications’ option from the first part
Then again check ‘Email login alerts to your Email address’ in second part
Now click the ‘Connect your phone number’
A new window will appear where you have to write down your phone number
Then ‘Continue’
A code will arrive at your written cell number
Write the six-digit ‘confirmation code’ in the box
Press ‘Confirm’
You might enter your password in this step
Then ‘Submit’
Now click on the ‘Turn on Notifications’
‘Save Settings’
Yes! You will have the full control of entering your Facebook account.
Remember, never let the box checked beside ‘Keep me logged in’ at anywhere as it will not verify the next login.
