Dhaka: While the facebook fracas continued, police Thursday took the cyber-silly boy, Rodin, on another day`s remand for quizzing over his satirical portrayal of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and opposition leader Khaleda Zia on the Internet.
Dhaka CMM Court judge SK Tofayel Hasan approved the one-day remand under the anti-terrorism act, ruling out a police prayer for 5 more days for the interrogation.
General Recording Officer of the Court Shakhawat Hossain told banglanews24.com.bd that Rodin was produced before the Court Thursday in the case filed under the Information Technology Act after a 3-day remand in the first phase after his arrest.
A group of RAB men arrested Rodin from Ranking Street of Wari in the city on May 29, after breaking the cyber offence of lampooning the two leading ladies of the country.
The stunning discovery prompted the government to shut down facebook, a popular social-interaction network on the information superhighway.
