DHAKA: After an hour-long effort, users in Bangladesh and elsewhere in the world can now connect to Facebook, both on the Web and via mobile apps.
The websites of popular social media networks Facebook and Instagram were not been available for the period of time.
It was not clear what caused the outage that started around 12:10pm and continued till 1:05pm on Tuesday.
