DHAKA: Some 12 Bangladeshi students have been awarded ‘PeopleNTech Scholarship’ this year.
The US-based international organization ‘PeopleNTech’ handed over the winner cards to the frontrunners Sunday morning at its Dhaka office.
Dr Mohammad Kaykobad of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) was the chief guest at the program.
The winners, however, were selected from 5,000 candidates who applied for the scholarship during just-concluded Digital World-2015 exposition.
They will be taught Web Development, Mobile Application Development, Oracle and English Language at free of cost under ‘PeopleNTech’s fifth batch to begin from March.
‘PeopleNTech’ adviser Professor Sazzad Hossain, director Yusuf Khan, business development manager Sheikh Durjay Zaman and ‘Thikana’ special correspondent Selim Sulery were among others present at the scholarship distribution ceremony.
