DHAKA: Infocomm and CTO Forum will jointly organize a two-day international ‘Tech Summit-2015’ at Pan Pacific Sonargoan hotel in city from March 20.
Over one hundred information technology experts from India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and host Bangladesh, will participate in the summit.
CTO Forum Bangladesh president Tapan Kanti Sarkar came up with the disclosure at a press conference in Dhanmondi on Wednesday noon.
He said that CTO Forum has been working with India’s Infocomm for two years for the development of Bangladesh IT sector.
They have jointly been arranging seminars, conferences and meetings on information technology in Bangladesh, he added.
According to CTO Forum chief, the upcoming summit, featuring meetings, seminars and award giving ceremony, will be held as part of the ongoing cooperation between the two IT organizations.
He further said that the participants, at the summit, will exchange views regarding tech-products, services, possibilities and challenges in IT sector.
Moreover, 15 persons, seven from India, 5 from Bangladesh, and one from Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka each, will get ‘IT Professional Awards’ at the summit, the organizers said.
Infocomm organizing secretary KK Mahapatra, its corporate manager (IT) Abdur Rafi and CTO Forum Bangladesh treasurer Dr Izazul Haque, among others, were present at the press conference.
