DHAKA: Banglalink, the 2nd largest mobile telecom operator in Bangladesh, has introduced unique internet packs, designed for lower wallet size, especially geared towards students.

These data packs are available against each denomination within the range of BDT 1 to BDT 20, says a press release issued on Wednesday.

Users can subscribe any internet pack based on their inputs of price denomination they want to spend.

Generally, subscribers have to remember the activation code for each pack and dial accordingly, which causes a lot of hassle for the subscribers, the release added.

Keeping this in mind Banglalink has introduced the unique modality where the subscribers do not need to memorize so many dial codes.

Instead they can just purchase an internet pack by entering the price as input through a single dial code. This is an innovative concept that has been launched for the first time in country’s mobile industry, says the release.

To subscribe to the Banglalink pocket internet packs, users just need to dial *5000*600# and in reply users will be asked to input their required denomination.

Based on the input, corresponding internet offer will be shown and upon user’s confirmation the internet pack will be activated.

Eventually, subscribers will be able to buy the internet packs from Banglalink website as well.

Banglalink marketing senior director Solaiman Alam said, “Banglalink wants to ensure a combination of affordability and convenience for our users.”

He also said, “We believe that the new concept of pocket internet pack will help to mitigate the hassles related to internet pack subscription. It will additionally allow subscribers to purchase their desired internet packs in a very convenient manner.”
