DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL) has made a warning on the fake Facebook IDs of the party and Prime Minister, also AL president Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana and other members of their family including PM’s daughter Saima Wazed Putul.

Earlier on Sunday, AL official Facebook page made the caution regarding this issue.

Presenting a list of fake identities, the AL said that there are some Facebook pages on AL, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his daughters Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana, grandchildren Radwan Mujib Siddique and Saima Wazed Putul are providing confusing updates to the viewers.

‘We want to fervently inform the nation that the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana, grandchildren Radwan Mujib Siddique and Saima Wazed Putul do not maintain any Facebook page,’ the party said.

‘Many of the page administrators have mention that the pages are being maintained as their official pages or supervised by them,’ the warning added.

It also earnestly requested the page administrators to ‘unpublish’ the pages.
