DHAKA: Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) expressed its eagerness to provide cyber-security for Bangladesh Bank (BB).
This canopy organization will assist the central bank in implementing international-level security measures.
A BASIS delegation, led by its president Shamim Ahsan, met BB governor Fazle Kabir on Monday (April 18) in this regard, said a press release.
Ahsan expressed his optimism regarding cooperation with the bank, the release added.
Moreover, the IT organization placed several proposals to the governor for the development of this sector.
According to the release, the governor informed the respective BB departments about the proposals.
BB executive director SM Maniruzzaman, BASIS secretary general Uttam Kumar Pal and its treasurer Shah Imraul Kaeesh were present at the meeting.
