DHAKA: Banglalink, one of the largest telecom operators in Bangladesh, has launched 3G smartphone at Tk 3,499 with the joint venture of Micromax.
Any existing or new Banglalink prepaid, call & control and postpaid customers are eligible for the exclusive offer to enjoy a lucrative bundle worth of TK 2,000 which is full of data and talk time including 3GB data, 1200 min talk time, 600 sms free for total 3 months.
The launching ceremony was held recently at Banglalink’s headquarters in city’s Gulshan area, says a press release, issued on Saturday (May 14).
The companies took the initiatives to make easy the internet accessibility and encouraging digital enhancement.
Head of Device of Banglalink Shahriar Ahmed Remon said, “Banglalink has always been focused to bring more people to the digital world through smartphone adaptation and add more value to its customers.”
He also expressed happiness over partnering with Micromax and bringing an affordable smartphone with attractive bundle offer.
This will be one of many initiatives of Banglalink to promote internet in Bangladesh aligning with the government’s commitment of establishing Digital Bangladesh, he added.
The handset is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad-Core with 5 MP+1.3 MP Camera, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB ROM. It runs on Android Lollipop with a 4” Screen (480X800 WVGA) and consists of 1450 mAh Battery.
Banglalink Device Manager Shibly Sadiq, Country Manager from Micromax Riajul Islam and General Manager from Sofel Ltd M Shakib Arafat were present in the launching program.
