DHAKA: A two-day BizTech B2B conference has begun in city on Saturday (May 21) with the aim of enhancing ICT service in domestic market and increasing abilities of local companies to compete international market.
The conference, jointly organized by government’s ICT division and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), began at Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel in city this morning.
State minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak in a panel discussion said that government’s ICT models and projects have earned appreciation across the world.
He also repeated his government’s target to earn 5-billion USD from ICT sector by 2021.
According to the organizers, the conference, first of its kind in the country, will provide business solution in several sectors including banking and finance, education, heath and readymade garments (RMG).
Panel discussions on education sector and RMG will begin at 10:00am and 3:00pm respectively on Sunday (May 22).
