DHAKA: The fourth Digital World-2016 exposition will begin at International Convention City Bashundhara in city on October 19 with the slogan of NonStopBangladesh.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the event while her ICT advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy will present keynote paper.
Over 100 private organizations, including Microsoft, Facebook, ZTE and Huawie, will showcase their respective ICT innovations at the event to remain open from 10:00am 8:00pm till October 23.
ICT state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak made the announcement at a press conference at ICT department conference room at secretariat in city on Sunday (October 16).
According to him, as many as 40 ministries will uphold their activities regarding the establishment of Digital Bangladesh.
Seven ministers from seven countries will attend the ministerial conference on the inaugural day. Moreover, at least 200 speakers, including 43 foreigners, will take part in 18 sessions during the exposition, which will be open to all.
Bangladesh Computer Samity, Bangladesh Women In Information Technology, CTO Forum Bangladesh, E-commerce Association of Bangladesh and Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum will assist the organizers in implementing Digital World-2016.
Information minister Hasanul Haq Inu, ICT secretary Shyam Sundar Shikdar, chief information official AKM Shamim Chowdhury, PMO Access to Information project director Kabir Bin Anwar and BASIS president Mustafa Jabbar were present at the conference.
