Bangladesh beat India to clinch gaming championship title The winning squad of CSBD Anonymous

DHAKA: Bangladesh gaming squad ‘CSBD Anonymous’ defeated Indian ‘Global eSports’ to clinch the title of Indian Cyber Gaming Championship (ICGC) 2018.

The finale was held in Goa in India on Sept 16.

Sudwipto Kumar Mondal captained CSBD Anonymous. The squad had Rashed Farhan, Selim Saddam, Tajwar Ahmed, Nahian and Joy Shaon. 

Smart Technologies (BD) brand ‘Gigabyte’ sponsored CSBD Anonymous.

“We have been patronizing Bangladesh gamers in various ways, over a long period. We are delighted to win such an international-standard tournament like ICGC. This victory is in fact victory of the entire Bangladesh,” said Gigabyte Country Manager Khaja Md Anas Khan.

As many as 12 Bangladeshi gamers in two teams—CSBD Anonymous and CSBD Ravens, under the banner of Gigabyte AORUS, participated in the championship in Goa.

Another Bangladeshi team named MercenarieZ also battled in the final phase of the same tournament.

More than hundred gaming teams from South Asian countries and Singapore clashed in initial phases of the ICGC.
