DHAKA: The 3G, 4G services has been restored in mobile internet across the country after 10 hours of outage ahead of the national election, slated for December 30.
The data services were reactivated after 8:00am on Friday (Dec 28), after it was shut down temporarily on Thursday (Dec 27) night. Now, 3G and 4G data services are performing as normal.
An official of a private telecom operator wishing anonymity told Banglanews that Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BRTC) instructed them to suspend 3G and 4G internet services around 10:00pm.
The BTRC directed operators to continue 2G internet and voice call services until further instructions.
