DHAKA: Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) is working on a move to close all the mobile internet data package services which are valid for less than a week.
The decision will come into effect from Jan 27.
BTRC Acting Chairman Zahurul Haq confirmed the matter after holding a views-exchanging meeting with the members of Telecom Reporters’ Networks Bangladesh (TRNB) on Wednesday (Jan 16).
The BTRC was to implement the same decision which was postponed afterwards.
The users who are using the less-than-week packages can use the data in six more cycles, if the data isn’t used yet, said a BTRC official.
BTRC commissioner and other higher officials attended the meeting chaired by TRNB President Zahidul Islam and moderated by Secretary General Samir Kumar Dey.
