DHAKA: Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) said 20,49000 SIMs of five mobile operators will be deactivated from Thursday midnight (April 25).
“The SIMs which were registered exceeding the permissible limit of 15 mobile connections against every national identity card will be deactivated after 12:00 am,” BTRC’s senior assistant director Zakir Hossain Khan, told Banglanews.
This directive, however, will not be applicable to corporate customers.
According to the BRTC, the numbers of SIMs include 4, 61,000 of Grameenphone, 455,000 of Banglalink, 419000 and 487000 of Teletalk.
