DHAKA: Acer, a Taiwanese multinational hardware and electronics corporation, has launched commercial business in Bangladesh.
Acer and Global Brand held a joint press conference at a city hotel on Thursday (April 26).
Acer’ country manager (sales) of Bangladesh and India Sanjeev Mehtani said: “Bangladesh is a potential market in this region. We’re giving special importance to governmental and banking organizations. We have brought robust quality hardware for this country’s customers. About 99 percent of these products are EPEAT certified, in other words recyclable.”
Country manager also said, “We’ve occupied about 47 percent of the market in India. We are at the top in Thailand. We want to expand our market in Bangladesh as well.”
Acer is coming with various types of products and services including mid and premium quality laptops, tablet PC, projectors, monitor display, super computer, Internet on Things (IOT), Super City Solutions in Bangladesh.
Global Brand’s chairmen Abdul Fattah among other senior officers of two brands were present at press briefing.
