DHAKA: Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has canceled the license of 48 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for not renewing their license.
The information was disseminated through two separate orders signed by MA Taleb Hossain, BTRC Director of Legal and Licensing Department, on Monday (July 22).
According to the orders, as per the terms of the ISP license, the license must be renewed for the next ten days before the expiry of five years. The licenses of these ISPs have been cancelled due to non-renewal even after expiration.
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have been instructed to pay all due payments within the next one month, otherwise action will be taken according to the law.
The list of cancelled companies has also been given on the BTRC website.
