'STOP DENGUE' app launches Launching ceremony of the app 'STOP DENGUE'

DHAKA: e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) developed a smartphone app reinforcing the fight against countrywide dengue epidemic.

The app named 'STOP DENGUE' will mark breeding place of aedes the mosquito species responsible for the viral fever.

E-post and BDYouth gave technical support in making the app which was launched at a program named 'Porichchonno Bangladesh' at National Scout Bhaban in Kakrail of the capital city Saturday (August 17) morning.

Anyone can use the app to identify aedes' breeding place and report the capturing area to the authorities for preventive measures.

However, in the same program, five ministries and divisions and four other organizations signed an agreement to raise awareness against dengue. 

LGRD Minister Md Tajul Islam was the chief guest.

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam, e-CAB President Shami Kaiser, State minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Enamur Rahman, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) commissioner and Bangladesh Scouts chief national commissioner Dr Mozammel Haque Khan, among others, attended the program chaired by PMO Chief Secretary and Bangladesh Scouts President Md Abul Kalam Azad.
