DHAKA: The five-day long Digital ICT Fair-2019 kicked off on Thursday (October 10) at Computer City Center- Multiplan in capital city’s Panthapath area with the slogan "Go Digitally, Make Your Life hassle Free".
Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar inaugurated the fair at a function as the chief guest this noon.
With Computer City Centre President and fair convener Toufiq Ahsan in the chair, the inaugural ceremony was also attended by Directors of FBCCI Abu Motaleb, Hafez Harun and Monirul Islam Jewel, Bangladesh Dokan Malik Samity Chairman Md Helal Uddin, general secretary Zahirul Haque Bhuiyan, general secretary of Computer City Center Subrata Sarkar, local councilor Jasim Uddin and leaders of Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS).
Toufiq Ahsan, convener of the Fair Committee, said the fair is being organized to promote the widespread use of computer and information technology among people of all parts of the country and to build a digital Bangladesh.
Over 746 shop owners and computer brands are taking part in the fair with special offers to attract people of all ages.
The fair is featuring art competition for children, cultural programmes, gaming zone and raffle draw.
Acer, Dell, HP and Kaspersky are the Platinum sponsors and Asus, Lenovo and Adata are gold sponsors of the fair. Silver sponsor are TP-Link, and Dahua. Gaming partner of this fair is Gigabyte.
The fair has remained open for visitors from 10:00am to 9:00pm every day. The fair will end on October 14.
