CHITAGONG: Country’s leading private airlines operator Regent Airways (RA) announced an investment of a total of Tk 800 crore to increase its operation in the aviation sector.
Managing Director (MD) of the airlines Mashruf Habib made the announcement at a press conference at a restaurant in the port city.
Mashruf said five new jets will be included to the fleet in next two years in addition to opening 13 new destinations and adding in-flight entertainment.
Of the five jets, three are Booing 737-800 with a capacity of 166 seats each and two are Booing 767-200 with the capacity of 265 seats each, he added.
According to the MD, RA will operate about 700 flights a month with the inclusion of new jets and RA’s seat capacity will increase by 93 percent.
Masruf said presently, RA has a special offer for the domestic and international air travelers on the occasion of its anniversary.
