DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.
DSEX, the broad index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 30 points to stand at 4,961 at the close on the last trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 135466 with transaction at Tk 5134 million.
Of the issues traded, 110 advanced, 160 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
HFL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 499 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, KEYACOSMET, BEXIMCO, TITASGAS, WMSHIPYARD, ABBANK, GP, SAPORTL and JAMUNAOIL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9,310 by dropping over 50 points.
Out of the issues traded, 57 gained, 144 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
