Bourses see minor fall Wednesday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over zero points only to stand at 4,943 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 94,904 with volume of transactions at Tk 4,215 million.

Of the issues traded, 110 advanced, 145 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 161 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were HFL, SQURPHARMA, BXPHARMA, JAMUNAOIL, QSMDRYCELL, SAPORTL, BRACBANK, AGNISYSL and BDTHAI.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9, 289 by dropping over two points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 75 gained, 130 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
