Stocks witness fall Tuesday

DHAKA: The indices of key share prices both at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed a negative trend from the early hours of trading on Tuesday.

DSEX, the prime index of country’s major bourse – Dhaka Stock Exchange – went down to 4,857.50 points at 2:35pm while it was 4,867.00 points at 10:30am.

However, NFML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 92.19 million having changed hands, after the trading.

The other turnover leaders of the major bourse were GP, AGNISYSL, WMSHIPYARD, LAFSURCEML, IDLC, TITASGAS, BBS, SAIFPOWER and OLYMPIC.

On the other hand, the port city bourse, CSE, also saw negative trend from the first hour of trading with its Selective Category Index, CSCX, 1,086.10 in the morning and 1,084.75 in the afternoon.
