DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 15 points to stand at 4,823 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 62364 with transaction at Tk 1917 million.
Of the issues traded, 101 advanced, 168 declined and 40 remained unchanged.
SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 90 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were GP, SAIFPOWER, LAFSURCEML, BXPHARMA, AGNISYSL, MJLBD, BRACBANK, IDLC and SAPORTL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9019 by dropping over 30 points.
Out of the issues traded, 61 gained, 159 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
