DHAKA: Australia, United Kingdom and Germany are going to showcase their products for first time in the Dhaka International Trade Fair 2015 (DITF-2015), is scheduled to start on January 1.
The month-long fair is scheduled to be inaugurated at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at Agargaon in the morning.
The three new overseas participants have been allotted four pavilions.
According to Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), new country joins in the DITF every year. In DITF-2015, a total of 15 countries, including Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, are participating in the international event.
Foreign participants got allotment of 88 pavilions, where two for United Kingdom, one each for Australia and Germany.
The authorities have kept 249 stalls allocated for the entrepreneurs in general category out of total 500 stalls under 14 categories.
“We have taken all-out preparation to inaugurate the month-long exhibition on January 1,” said M Rezaul Karim, deputy secretary of the EPB.
The fair, where national and international stakeholders gather to display their products, is being organized by Export Promotion Bureau and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh.
