DSE, CSE witness fall Wednesday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stocks Exchange, shed over 18 points to stand at 4,951 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 96034 with transaction at Tk 3,906 million.
   
Of the issues traded, 84 advanced, 185 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

BBS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 235 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were IDLC, AGNISYSL, ACTIVEFINE, ALLTEX, DESCO, SAIFPOWER, GP, SAPORTL and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9206 by dropping over 34 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 62 gained, 150 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
