DHAKA: Considering ongoing political turmoil, the duration of Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) has been extended by 10 days.
Now the fair will be continued till February 10, announced Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Sunday following requests of participating business organizations.
EPB Director General SM Mahabubur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
The decision will be implemented after direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he added.
Commerce Minister Tofael Ahmed was present in the meeting among others.
The fair started from January 1 and was scheduled to be continued till end of this month. But stall owners applied to EPB for extending duration as they got less customers due to blockade and hartal of 20-party alliance.
