Stocks end lower Sunday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Sunday.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 81 points only to stand at 4,716 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 75302 with volume of transactions at Tk 3534 million.

Of the issues traded, 34 advanced, 252 declined and 21 remained unchanged.

CNATEX topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 234 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, DESCO, SAPORTL, ALLTEX, GSPFINANCE, NFML, GP, WMSHIPYARD and CVOPRL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8768 by dropping over 156 points. 

Out of the issues traded, 36 gained, 182 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
