DHAKA: Bashundhara Group, leading business conglomerate of the country, stood beside the burn victims, who were affected during the recent violence in the city.

On behalf of Bashundhara Group chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, daily 'Kaler Kantho' editor Imdadul Haq Milon and ‘Bangladesh Protidin’ editor Noem Nizam handed over Tk 20,000 to the family of each victim’s in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) of the city on Tuesday.

Bashundhara Group gave the aid to a total of 46 burn victims.

DMCH burn unit’s Residential Surgeon Partha Sankar Paul said the editors handed over Tk 20,000 to the burn victim Bakul Debnath’s younger brother Montu Debnath.

Partha Sankar also said Bakul succumbed to his injuries in the morning during undergoing treatment.

Later, Imdadul Haq Milon and Noem Nizam handed over the donation money to the family members of the victims at the first floor of DHCH.
