Stocks end lower Wednesday

DHAKA: Country's stock market witnessed minor fall in its price indices on Wednesday.

DSEX, the benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over nine points only to stand at 4747 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 89,948 with volume of transactions at Tk 3534 million.

Of the issues traded, 99 advanced, 171 declined and 35 remained unchanged.

CNATEX topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 129 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were ALLTEX, CVOPRL, AAMRATECH, GP, BXPHARMA, SAPORTL, BENGALWTL, GSPFINANCE and AGNISYSL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8800 by dropping over 13 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 76 gained, 121 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
