DSE, CSE down at opening

DHAKA: Share price index at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed negative trend in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

The DSE broad index, DSEX went down by 29.40 points or 0.61 percent to reach 4718.22 at 11:09 am.

Trade deals stood at 9695 with volume of transactions at Tk 258 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 25 gained, 161 declined and 40 remained unchanged.    

BSCCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 24 million having changed hands.

The CSE key index, CSCX dropped 0.18 points to stand at 8792.99, also at 11:09 am.

Of the issues traded till then, 26 gained, 59 declined and 17remained unchanged.
