Stock end lower Thursday

DHAKA: Country's twin bourses Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) marked fall in its price indices on Thursday.

DSEX, the prime index of DSE, shed over 23 points only to stand at 4,724 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 68,995 with volume of transactions at Tk 2065 million.

Of the issues traded, 75 advanced, 202 declined and 26 remained unchanged.

CNATEX topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 109 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, CVOPRL, BSCCL, GP, AAMRATECH, SPCL, GSPFINANCE, DESCO and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8736 by dropping over 64 points. 

Out of the issues traded, 48 gained, 155 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
