DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) shed over 69 points to stand at 4,754 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 59,921with transaction at Tk 1847 million.
Of the issues traded, 41 advanced, 247 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 90 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were AAMRATECH, CNATEX, GP, SQURPHARMA, SAIFPOWER, PHARMAID, CVOPRL, OLYMPIC and ALLTEX.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8614 by dropping over 121 points.
Out of the issues traded, 20 gained, 205 declined and 12 remained unchanged.
