DHAKA: Key share price indices at both Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed a daylong negative trend on Monday, the second trading day of the week.
However, DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down to 4,769.50 points by 2:35pm, starting from 4,832.37 points in the morning.
Despite the fall, Monday’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were MEGHNAPET, IMAMBUTTON, DULAMIACOT, SHAHJA BANK, ISNLTD, SHYAMPSUG, BDCOM, MODERNDYE, MIDASFIN, and BANGAS.
Nevertheless, BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 95.20 million having changed hands, after the day’s trading.
The other turnover leaders of the twin bourses were IFADAUTOS, AAMRATECH, MJLBD, GP, LAFSURCEML, BXPHARMA, AGNISYSL, SQURPHARMA, and RAKCERAMIC.
On the other hand, the port city bourse, CSE, also saw downward trend round the day with its Selective Category Index, CSCX.
The index, which was in 1,085.80 points at 10:30am, went down to 1,072.20 points while closing the day’s trading.
