DSE, CSE down at opening

DHAKA: Share price index at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed negative trend in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of DSE, went down 2.24 points or 0.04 percent to reach 4785.98 at 12:14 pm.

Trade deals stood at 25,322 with volume of transactions at Tk 844.29 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 94 gained, 116 declined and 68 remained unchanged.

SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 109.26 million having changed hands.

CSCX, the key index of CSE, went down 0.12 points to stand at 12033.42, also at 12:11 pm.

 Of the issues traded till then, 62 gained, 47 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
