DSE, CSE witnessing fall

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses--Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) --is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Wednesday.

DSEX, the Broad Index DSE, shed over 44.84 points to stand at 4756.30 at 12:12pm.

Trade deals stood at 44401 with volume of transactions at Tk 1637.14 million.

Of the issues traded, 26 advanced, 135 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 114.34 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8848.72 by dropping over 59.75 points at about 12:15pm.

Out of the issues traded, 24 gained, 148 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
